Process

Choose from one of our many floor plans via our website, or models. This is the first step towards your future home. Our website will always remain updated with all current pricing and availability within our developments. During this time, it is highly recommended that you setup a meeting with a member of our sales team so they can aid in this process and answer any questions that may arise!

The next step in your process will be to meet with one of our partner banks and mortgage providers to establish a pre-approval letter, outlining the specific requirements for your loan. Your pre-approval letter and an initial deposit are required for the next steps.

Once you have your desired floor plan, pre-approval letter and deposit ready, it’s time to schedule a meeting so we can put together your contract. During this meeting, you will be meeting directly with the owner of the company, or as many like to refer: you are meeting the Builder! At this meeting, your chosen floor plan will be reviewed with you and the available options and selections you had in mind will be discussed! Lifehouse Homes works hard to accommodate most requests that do not require major structural changes to the floor plan. At the end of the meeting, a timeline and contract estimate will be thoroughly reviewed with you prior to signing.

The final step in the contract phase are the selections themselves. Around the time the home is being framed, a meeting is scheduled with the Builder. During this meeting you will be choosing everything from siding and stone color, to paint color and cabinetry.

After you have made your selections, we can typically schedule your pre-drywall walkthrough. This is the perfect opportunity to ask any further questions you may have, get a real feel for the layout of the home as well as take measurements for furnishings you plan on putting in after you close.

During the rest of the construction process, you will be kept up to date on everything that’s happening within your new home. You will also retain a direct line of communication with one of our team members throughout this time to answer any further questions that may come up along the way.

A final walkthrough is typically schedule on the day of closing. During this detailed walkthrough, one of our team members will take you on a full tour of your new home and highlight key areas of importance to ensure you feel comfortable when you move in after you close on your home.

Closing typically takes place at Chicago Title in Crown Point on Fridays between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, usually taking 1 to 2 hours. It is at the conclusion of this meeting that you finally receive the keys to your new home!

After closing on your home, it’s time for you to move in and enjoy your newly built Lifehouse Home! Our team is always helpful to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have after you move in via our online portal.
